Description:
Calling all aspiring coders! This is a great camp to start learning a new coding language, letting students of all levels start wherever they are. Participants work at their own pace on our computer game-based coding platforms (Ozaria and Code Combat) and take breaks to play fun screen-free games together that highlight certain concepts of coding! We recommend beginners start with our JavaScript curriculum, but students who are looking to move on from there are welcome to chose Python or C++ as their coding language of the week!
Mandatory membership(s):
Available: 8/12
Price: $240.00 Taxes waived
Required age: 8 - 14 on the day of the activity
Notes: We highly recommend packing a snack to eat during mid-class break. Students staying for AM and PM camp sessions should also bring a peanut free lunch.
Prerequisites: Students don't need to know how to type for this camp, though it does make progress go faster. Participants should be comfortable with using a mouse and finding keys on the keyboard, and should know how to read at 3rd grade level or above
