Description:
Calling all future writers, artists, designers and game developers! Students in this collaborative camp enjoy turning their favorite fairytales and fables into games with character, enemy and plot development. Using the Bloxels Edu system, and touch screen tablets, they'll turn well known stories into a digital video game. Students will use color coded blocks to program their games to make the puzzles and challenges they plan come to life. They'll use and modify pre-made art, to speed up their development process. This curriculum is a really engaging and easy introduction to what programmers do and what they can accomplish by learning to code. Students will walk away with a fun playable game for tablet or computer, and invaluable experience with logic and programming.
