Description:
This large scale project asks students to investigate and design the structure and ease of access for an indoor play space with strict space limitations. Students will be challenged to work in teams to design and model a space that is as fun and imaginative as possible, while still making it safe, and accessible to different abilities. We'll even get a building twist where teams will draw a random theme to try to cater their play space to! We'll use a variety of mediums to help us through the engineering design process, including floorplans, manipulatives such as Lego and cardboard, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) to help us visualize the space to make sure it meets all of our requirements!
Mandatory membership(s):
Available: 10/18
Price: $300.00 Taxes waived
Required age: 6 - 9 on the day of the activity
Notes: We highly recommend packing a snack to eat during mid-class break. Students staying for AM and PM camp sessions should also bring a peanut free lunch.
