Description:

Using the Lego Mindstorm NXT 2.0 and Lego EV3 robotics platforms, students will work in teams to design and build functional robots (humanoid, segway rider), machines (lawnmower, hammer car, powersaw), and robotic animals (spider, dog, dolphin) subsequently using software to plan, design and engineer, test and modify sequences of instruction from a variety of real-life robotic behaviours. Introduction to concepts in engineering and robotic movement, kinematics, working with motors, and installing gears and sensors will tap into the child's innate desire to explore, problem solve, create, investigate and learn in both free and guided platforms. No previous robotics experience or exposure is needed. Every Robotics Camp will feature a half day of Robotics instruction as well as a half day of games, fun, and out-trips with our amazing GNAG staff!
