Designed to provide youth with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, and to expose them to various sports and coaching strategies. The core areas of leadership will be presented in practical and theoretical form. Participants will also have the chance to participate in athletic workshops that provide opportunities to play old favourites, while exposing them to new sports & activities they may not have tried before. Sport workshops are presented in a non-competitive way, and participants will learn the basics of coaching, instructing sports and working with children in a recreation environment. At Sports Leadership we also play awesome games, participate in fun team challenges, and go on the best out-trips! Attendance is compulsory and certain skills must be demonstrated in order to successfully complete this program.
