Description:
Students in the Echo level will apply the methodology to more independent writing opportunities based on provided source texts. Weekly vocabulary and intermediate grammar rules will be used to solidify the meaning of the written paragraph structure and style. This level will include consistent opportunities for independent practice in “thinking” then “writing.” The elements of structure and style are added from the system to continue to build confidence and competence in writing. Grammar rule teaching builds from the Largo level and vocabulary levels increase. Students will be writing every week. Source texts will vary in topic; vocabulary and reading strategies will be taught as applicable and appropriate.
