Description:

In this program, learners will explore the diversity of animal life cycles. This will be accomplished through a number of activities where we will learn the basics of plant and animal life cycles to more complex life cycles such as insects and amphibians.

This program covers BC Science curriculum including:

  • Understanding metamorphic and non-metamorphic life cycles of different organisms

  • How the environment influences animal life cycles

  • Similarities and differences between offspring and parents

  • Structural features of living things and behavioral adaptations 

  • Biodiversity in the local environment

  • Observe events in familiar contexts

  • Demonstrate curiosity about the natural world

  • Experience and interpret the natural environment through observation
