Description:

This competitive program is ideal for experienced, competitive athletes over 21 years of age who want to compete and train to race, but without the commitment of 6 early morning practices a week with double workouts, like in our senior competitive program.

On water practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00pm and on Saturdays at 9:00am.

Training is also supplemented with dry land training which is done at the athlete's discretion and personal schedule.  There is testing and minimum performance standards expected in the masters program with expected crew attendance to major competitive regattas.

Rowers are responsible for their regatta fees and travel expenses, which are above the ORC program fee. Regatta expenses include event entries, travel, accommodation and the trailering expense to get equipment and coaches to and from each regatta. These additional regatta fees can vary from $100 to $400 depending on the number of days and events entered.

All participants must attend a safety training prior to going on the water.

Participants must register with and pay a $60.84 Rowing Canada and RowOntario membership fee annually. You will be prompted to do this when you begin the registration process for your ORC program.
