With this Activity you are selecting to register for ONLY the Varsity camp and will need to pay for the rest of the fall season adter the camp. 

University Novice: Novices must attend a Novice Try-Out camp. Please contact your University Rowing rep for more details. The Try-Out camp fee is required and it is non-refundable.

Varsity and Junior Varsity: Experienced athletes must register for Varsity Camp (last week of August). Please contact your University Rowing rep for more details.

All registrants must complete a safety course prior to going on the water.

University rowing is for registrants of Carleton University or University of Ottawa, both of which train out of the ORC in the fall season. This program offers an excellent opportunity to build rowing skills, while training with university peers and to access both on-water and drylands training and conditioning. 

University crews compete at

• PD Ross (Ottawa) 
• Head of the Rideau (Ottawa)
• Head of the Trent (Peterborough)
• Brock Invite (St. Catharines)
• Ontario University Championships 
• Canadian University Championships (select crews).

Participants must register with and pay a $60.84 Rowing Canada and RowOntario membership fee annually. You will be prompted to do this when you begin the registration process for your ORC program.

Athletes in this program may attend competitive regattas. Expenses to attend and race at regattas are in addition to the ORC program fee.  Regatta expenses include event entries, travel, accommodation and the trailering expense to get equipment and coaches to and from each regatta. These additional regatta fees can vary from $100 to $400 depending on the number of days and events entered and if subsidized by the Univeristy.
