Tour Details

International tours are an important part of the Youth Singers program for singers in SENIOR HI, ACT3, and some adult divisions. Every tour provides educational experiences, professional performance opportunities, fun with friends, and memories to last a lifetime!

Every Youth Singers tour incorporates outstanding opportunities for performances, education, and personal growth. Tour fees include all flights, meals, accommodations, ground transportation, attraction passes, taxes, and gratuities.

The tour is open to all performers registered in JUNIOR HI in 2024-2025. People who wish to join the tour and come along as travelers are welcome as well. A complement of artistic and technical staff, as well as Tour Assistants (chaperones), will complete the group. TAs are chosen by application; you can find the application form here.

Tour registration is open to all new and returning singers until October 15, 2024, or until a maximum number of spots has been filled.

When: May 15-21, 2025 -- Exact departure and return times TBD. This covers the May long weekend. CBE and CSSD both have Friday and Monday off school.

Draft Itinerary

All activity dates, including performance schedule, are subject to change and will be confirmed approximately 6 weeks prior to tour. 

Planned Activities Include:

• Performances in Show Choir and Concert Choir categories at music competition festivals with professional adjudication and award opportunities
• A choral workshop with a university-level instructor
• A Disney Imagination Campus workshop in dance or vocals with a Disney performing arts professional
• Time for fun at Disneyland and California Adventure
• A day at another theme park -- Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott's Berry Farm, or Six Flags Magic Mountain (which one? That's still a surprise!)
• Time for sight-seeing in beautiful Southern California
• And more! Every tour includes some surprise itinerary activities that will make it different from any other tour and will create fun memories.

You'll build your skills as performers, perform in a professionally produced concert tour, and have a TON of FUN while you do it!

Trip Cancellation Insurance

Please note, Youth Singers does not provide trip cancellation insurance as part of your tour package. If you would like to purchase cancellation insurance, you need to make those arrangements yourself.

Most cancellation insurance must be purchased within 48-72 hours of your initial trip payment, so you need to make those arrangements at the same time as you register for tour.

Various insurance companies provide cancellation insurance in cases such as illness or natural disaster. "Cancel For Any Reason" insurance will provide the broadest coverage, but is less commonly available. Tugo is one company that has this available, but you can shop around.

Trip cancellation insurance, including Cancel For Any Reason coverage, is approximately $400 for a singer on the California tour.

Notes: Please note the following tour rehearsals. These are mandatory for all touring singers, so mark your calendar now. Sunday, Feb 2 - Feb. workshop weekend (Time TBD) Sunday, Mar 2 - 12-6 PM Sunday, Mar 16 - 12-6 PM Sunday, Apr 6 - 12-6 PM Monday, May 12 - Final tour rehearsal and presentation (6-9 PM) There will be a final tour presentation on Monday, May 12 at 8:00 PM for family and friends to come send our touring ensemble on their way!
