Description :

Class begins with standing balance and postural alignment exercises using long resistance bands, ankle bands, free weights, and foam rollers. There are 34 exercises in the typical Pilates repertoire, 15 of which are contraindicated for those with osteoporosis, osteopenia, or other injuries. Breathing, core control, postural alignment, and strength training is the key to prevent falls and fractures. 

 

PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT: 36"X6" FOAM ROLLER, LONG RESISTANCE BAND, ANKLE BAND, TENNIS BALL, 8-9" BURST RESISTANT BALL, AND A YOGA MAT. Prérequis : This class is for those who are able to safely lower themselves down to and up from the floor without assistance.
