Calling all future writers, artists, designers and game developers! Students in this collaborative camp enjoy storyboarding their games with character, enemy and plot development.

Using the Bloxels Edu system, they turn their original interactive stories into a video game. They will design the characters, levels, and other art for their games, and have access to a library of premade art they can edit to fit their theme. To further immerse their players in their story, our creators will edit and customize the game components which are represented on the screen by color coded blocks. They'll use logic and careful planning to decide how each of the elements such as hazards, enemies, and other configurable blocks will interact and behave.

Students will walk away with a fun playable game for tablet or computer, and invaluable experience with logic and programming, as well as practice with giving and receiving constructive criticism and feedback.

Notes : We highly recommend packing a snack to eat during mid-class break. Students staying for AM and PM camp sessions should also bring a nut free lunch.

Prérequis : Students who have experience already will be allowed to use the Tech Lab amenities, like the 3D printers and coding platforms, etc.
