In this course we will develop a broad range of approaches to clay sculpture. We will explore using both traditional and non-traditional techniques. Learn the basics in hand-building, slab work, and modeling. Students will start with some exercises and to explore elements of composition and an understanding of line, texture and balance. Students will then have the opportunity to work on independent projects (Figures, animals, abstract, or functional with a sculptural component). This will be a fun and dynamic course that will provide a forum for discussion and exploration of clay sculpture, and its possibilities.

Adult classes do not include clay. It can be purchased by phone or in-person at your first class.

Change your mind? Notify us first! We can help. A transfer requires the same period of notification. Pro-rated refunds will be given with a medical certificate should a refund be approved. Emilie’s classes, memberships for indoor playground, school walkovers, pottery studio and fitness memberships and tickets are NON- REFUNDABLE. There will be no refunds for tickets to our events. Withdrawal because a client does not agree with our Covid protocols will still incur a 7% admin fee and will still require the above noted notification timeline.
