An International Certificate of Competency is an Intermediate level certification which is required to skipper a bareboat charter in many European countries. It is issued through International Yacht Training.
Humber Bay Sailing is a member school with International Yacht Training (IYT) and provides training and Certification for the International Certificate of Competency, CEVNI and International Bareboat Skipper (Coming Soon).
The ICC is divided into two parts: the theory and exam and the on-water challenge. HBSC offers sailors the opportunity to complete both portions of the certification. The on-water challenge may be competed on your boat or on an HBSC School boat.
